Personal Bio

Dr. Hong Huang is an Associate Professor at the Department of Formula Science, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. She holds a PhD and is actively engaged in teaching, clinical practice, and research in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Dr. Huang teaches core courses including Formularies of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her research interests focus on TCM literature studies, compatibility and formulation principles of herbal prescriptions, and the study of TCM culture and heritage. Coming from a family recognized for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage in TCM, she is also a licensed attending TCM physician, with clinical expertise in internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and dermatology.

In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Huang serves as a Youth Committee Member of the Formula Science Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and holds similar roles in multiple provincial academic societies, including the Zhejiang Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association. She has also been a Visiting Scholar at Zhejiang University. Her interdisciplinary profile bridges traditional medical knowledge, academic research, and modern healthcare practice, contributing to the development and international dissemination of TCM.
